Jim and Susan gave us a nice place to stay in Portland. In the morning, Jim made us breakfast and Susan gave us some homemade Jam. Thank you so much!
Gael
While taking an underground tour of Seattle, we met Gael. haha. Gael is a tour guide, not a Nija Turtle. Gael bikes every day to work and was a great host. Thank you Gael!
Lara
Lara, what can I say?
Naomi
When we crossed into downtown Vancouver, I had all sorts of bike problems. Naomi let us stay with her while Kona worked on my bike. Naomi bikes everyday to work and when she biked with us 3 miles to get food, James and I had a hard time keeping up. Thank you Naomi! Good luck on your trip to South America.
Jane
Jane picked us up from the ferry terminal in North Vancouver. Jane was so nice to us. She gave us a warm place to sleep by a fireplace and made us breakfast the next morning. After 2 weeks of camping in the rain, we were very happy to meet Jane! Thank you!
Bob & Deb
Bob & Deb let us use their camper in Haines Junction when the temp at night got down to 15 degrees. They then took us on an amazing tour of the Yukon that we would not seen otherwise. Thank you for everything.
David
We met David while taking a break somewhere before the Yukon border. David is biking from Seattle to San Diego starting September 19. There are more nuts out there besides us. Haha, just kidding David.
Litsa
When we got to Delta, we were very hungry and sore. It was 10pm and everyone was closed, but Litsa let us come into her restaurant and not only fed us the biggest sandwiches we had ever seen, she also gave us 6 loafs of homemade bread. Thank you so much Litsa!
Blake
Blake let us stay at his house in Fairbanks while we swapped bikes. Blake has had people from all over the world stay at his house using CouchSurfing.com. Thank you Blake.
Kyle
Kyle gave us a ride to Fairbanks when we broke down in Denali. Thank you for the ride!
Terry and Arlene
When I broke two spokes in Trapper Creek, Terry picked me up and drove me to his house where he fixed my wheel for me. Terry has a great set-up in his garage for fixing and even building bicycles and wheels. He has a few of his own he built and gave us some great pointers. Terry and his wife, Arlene, are planning a cross country tour of their own in a few years! Good luck and thank you for all your help! You made my day!!!
Dr. Brian and Brenda
Brian and Brenda shared their home and knowledge of cycling with us while we were riding through Wasilla. Together, they own a Veterinarian Hospital and are very active in outdoor activities. Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your biking knowledge!
Shaun
Shaun helped us so much at the UPS Store when we were picking up our bikes. One of the bikes hadn't arrived, and Shaun did everything possible to make sure we left happy. Thank you again!
Kat and Jake
We met Kat at her bike rental facility. She was great! Kat was so helpful, she picked us up from the airport, rented a movie for us, and let us stay in her home. Thank you for all the help! Let us know when you're in Ohio.
